Recently, Hollywood veteran Ray Liotta, whose career has spanned nearly four decades, sat down with Larry King and chatted about landing his first role at 31, Martin Scorsese’s genius and the trouble with actors today. Plus a “Goodfellas” sequel? Ray weighs in.

“The Identical” a film about twin brothers who are unknowingly separated at birth seemed to hit home for Ray Liotta. One of them becomes an iconic rock ‘n’ roll star, while the other struggles to balance his love for music and pleasing his father. Liotta, who is adopted himself spoke on the difficulties of dealing with that “I used to wear being adopted on my sleeve. ‘How could you give up a kid?’ That sort of thing.”

Larry also discussed Ray’s acting career and what it was like joining the industry at an older age – “I did my first movie when I was 31 years old in 1986. At that time, I never wanted to be an actor” he explained. Liotta also described what helped him prepare for his brain-eating scene in “Hannibal.”

Liotta wrapped up his interview by answering social media questions from some of his biggest fans including whether he’d work with Scorsese again, seeing the real Henry Hill around town and if he ever brings his characters home.
