And before he became a movie star, I remember seeing him on our black and white floor model TV dressing up like a woman in the sitcom “Bosom Buddies”.

But beyond “Bosom Buddies”, Here are 5 of my favorite Old School clips of Tom Hanks.

1. “Splash” (1984) Can you imagine that Tom Hanks was originally considered for John Candy’s role? Glad they changed that.

2. “Big” (1988) Tom Hanks playing a kid in an adult’s body is simply fun to watch.

In the 1990s, Tom Hanks was a beast on film. Too many good movies, but I narrowed it down to my favorite 3.

3. “A League of Their Own” (1992) Tom held no punches with the ladies in this movie. Remember this famous line?

4. “Sleepless In Seattle” (1993) Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan were just magical. Love this scene.

5. “Forrest Gump” (1994) Now you know we can quote so many lines from this movie, but this scene is one of many of my favorites.

Of course, Tom is still going strong. Happy Birthday Tom.
